Just finished putting together my electric evo 50. I have always liked the way the evo flys and just knew it would be a killer electric heli. My set up is as follows:

Hirobo Evo 50 $399
creations HV 85 controller $250
Hacker 50 Motor $100
Hirobo conversion $250
Futaba 9252 on ccpm
10s3p TP packs

This system has the original clutch set up which does not require soft start in fact it is better without it.

flies very smooth just like I knew it would. Here are some pics of it when I first finished it.

Rotoryrob,

Where did you get the Hirobo conversion for the Evo? Is it also suitable for a Shuttle? TIA!

I don't believe it will work for the shuttle but I could be wrong. It is a item that Hirobo makes and can be bought through MRC. I bought mine used but it bolts up to the existing engine mounts and using the clutch so no pinnion adapter is needed. Kind of a nice setup.
