Hi,

Anyone using this combo ?

I am using a GY240 with a HS50 wondered if its worth trying a 3154 with the 240 or do you really need the 401 with the 3154 ?

Simon.

Digital will help with any gyro. But the 401 supports a higher frame rate for digital, which is even better.

S3154 is a nice little servo. I am running one with a 401 i nmy Trex.

I'm using the 401 and S3154 which is better than the HS50. Haven't tried the 240 on a Hornet, but on the trex the 401 was better than the 240.

I tried the 3154 with a Logictech 2100 today on my 3d Pro.
Ended in a crash. Hovered up, flipped idle 1, tail just started rotating at medium pace, and in she went
However, I doubt very much that it was due to the servo, as I just bought it this morning.
Im sure this heli is cursed, but Im also sure LOADS of you Hornet guys have felt the same with your burds at times too.
Amazing little servo though, very small and light, next to no slop, very neat.
Im wondering how these would be on cyclic as well??
Or would the 3110 still be a better option?

If you bling it, they will come :D

Hey Gorn,

The s3154 on the tail is working great. I'm currently using the s3154 with my Logictech 2100T on my Hornet X3D and it performs perfectly. The tail locks in beautifully. However, I haven't had the chance to bang the X3D around hard yet as I'm still fine tuning the cyclic control, but I don't anticipate any problems. I am using x3 s3154's for eCCPM which I feel was a good choice, but I'm debating a few changes given my currecnt flight characteristics. It's a little too stable beleive it or not. This won't require me to swap out the servos because I feel that work well.

I'm sorry to hear about your crash but I'm right there with you. Minature helicopters are one heck of a learning curve!

Hi Razmo
Good to here their working well for you on cyclic as well.
Im undecided as to wheather I will go 3110 or 3154 on cyclic.
Was their much more current draw that you could notice?
Have to use a BEC?
Miniature helis are the only ones that i have LOADS of head scratching with lol.

If you bling it, they will come :D

I'm using the MS-116 ESC (standard BEC regulation) with a Thunder Power 11.1v pack at 1320mah. I am not using an external BEC or have I had any problems. She only has a few flights on her in cool whether, but I don't anticipate having any problems in warmer weather.

If you are at all worried, the Jeti Spin series of ESCs should offer more than enough BEC regulation.

I've never had the chance to fly my X3D with the Futaba s3110's so I was never able to compare them to that of the s3154's, but the s3154's seem to offer the performance I was looking for in a servo.

I am using a Spektrum DX7 transmitter along with a AR6100rx so any latency is minimal. If you're already familiar witht the DX7 then you know it supports servo synchronization. This assures me that all 3 ccpm servos are moving together and centering together. This could be another reason my cyclic servos are performing as well as they are.
