here is a short post on installing this it's super easy.....
"even a caveman could do it"

remove all glow components, tank, shroud, shroud supports ect... remove the clutch assy, and bell assy.

then seperate the upper bearing block from the pinion, if using a different tooth count pinion.if using the 11T pinion just unscrew it from the bell.then screw the pinion into the adaptor. and insert the pinion back into the bearing block.

now bolt the motor onto the mount plate

place the adaptor and pinion assy onto the motor shaft

then insert whole assy. back into the frames

then take the upper carbon plate and slot the holes, to adjust the gear mesh.

i slotted the lower holes...

the pictures show the main gear installed during this but it is easier to do this with out the main gear in the heli...
i flipped the upper plates over so the ingraving is toward the frames. you might have to slot the holes a little more to get the holes to line up when setting the gear mesh. i run the mesh pretty tight (already stripped the teeth off one 100T main gear.
install batteries i placed one pack under the radio tray on the front, and 1 battery where the fuel tank sat.

What batteries are you going with? I'll be using 2 TP 6s5000.

Batteries....

I plan on experimenting a bit...right now I have a 5s 3700evo 20 pack up front and a 6s 3700 pack out back...

I also want to try the 2 6s 5000's out...I have a couple for my trex 600 so I already have the packs. I also have a few 6s 3700's from my logo 10's

I am also going to try the 10s3700 route as well.....

so I guess I plan on the following combos--

10s 3700 mah..(2x 5s3700's)
11s 3700 mah...(1-5s3700 and 1-6s3700)
12s 5000mah ...(2x6s 5000)
12s 3700 mah... (2x6s3700)

Did you get the 100T main? How much did you pay for that?

the 100T main gear is P/N 0865-100 34.90
10T pinion P/N 0864-5 21.95
pinion adaptor 25.00

the adaptor dosen't have a part number you have to call min air and ask for it. just tell them you need a adaptor that the pinion screws into for either a 5 or 6mm shaft. there are 2 different adaptors.
so depending on wich motor you use is wich adaptor to get.

It looks like you can push the motor up higher by using thicker plate with a pocket machined out or into a reversed channel shape. This will allow the motor to sit up higher so you will not have to catch the very end of the motor shaft with the pinion adapter. This will also allow better positioning of the pinion.

The real benefit would be that you gain 0.4-0.5 inch of additional clearance in the battery bay. Although minor, it will shift the cg of the motor toward the blade which is also good.

One piece would be good but if you want to use thinner stock, you can screw in the flange portion with screws. It might also be a good idea to open up the center hole to clear the pinion adapter to further push the motor up.

Can you produce this part?

I checked the CG and it will allow 2 trex600 packs can be mounted side by side with enough clearance from the motor if pushed up. This will allow mounting the batteries without removing the canopy.

well yes, but if you notice the hole in the center. it is sized to put a flanged bearing into. P/N 111-8 from min air. so when the belt drive is availble to the public. it will be possible to adapt it to the stratus.

E-Stratus completed and took 3 test flights. I took 2 easy going flights to make sure 2200 head speed held ok. Justin took the 3rd flight and see if you can shake things loose. Well, It held on. My conversion required no canopy removal and it balances perfect. Both trex600 5000 packs fit directly under the motor with velcro and strap.
