The cold isn't all that bad, its the wind. I can't handle both at the same time. There is no way I would live as far North as Dallas, not to mention Tulsa and even worse Minnesota.

"even worse Minnesota?" Easy now! Even I have thought about moving south to warmer weather. It sucks not being able to fly everday!

cgbole- where did you get the adaptor? Is your motor the 5 or 8mm shaft? Mine's the 8mm.

everything except the plate is min air parts.
0865-100 100 t main gear
0864-5 10 t pinion
and the adaptor ya just got to call min air they don't have a part number for it but they had it when i called. either 5mm or 6mm shaft size. and then depending on how long your motor shaft is ...
i had to move the upper start shaft brng block down to reach the motor shaft. then flip the carbon side plates over and slot the lower holes, the stationary ones.. to line up with the press nuts.
and your there. i just got to get some plates made up and figure the cost on them...
thanks

That was awesome! I don't think I heard any bogging. Is it always cloudy this time of year down there?

Holy smoke, that is impressive! Good job on the conversion. That thing sure can scramble the air.

even not doing anything would have been better than nothing...

I guess I have been picking odd times to go out to the field because no one ever seems to be there. However, this last time Robbie showed up and I flew w/him for awhile.

I am still flying the Fury, but recently have been having an engine tuning issue. I am patiently waiting for the clouds to break so I can get out to the field to sort it out.

Hope all is well with you. Keep up the good work on the Stratus. Can't wait to say that thing in action!

All the best.

we are going to make these mounts available. but i need to get a count on how many to make for the first run of parts.if you could either post here or pm me so we can get a count. this part will fit a stratus as well as a tempest. everything else is a stock Min Air part. the mounts should be less than $40.00 for the plate alone.
thank you

cg,
I got a spare Tempest 3D that i'm thinking about converting to Stratus. after seeing your success in converting the Stratus to Electric then I'll go ahead and get this one converted too. I'll take one of your plate whenever you get it ready and if you don't mind if you could e-mail or post a step-by-step procedure with pics. Your work really saved me some time on figuring-out how to do things or even thinking if it is possible.many thanks, Pinoy...

Cg,
just wondering about this things;
- flying wt.
- main blade (710 or 690)
- equivalent motor for AXI
- ESC
- max. flight time
- can you lowerdown the headspeed by lowering your throttle to 75%?

....Thanks, Pinoy...
