I want to lighten up my Corona. I am currently running the AstroFlight 020 and a 8 cell 3300 nimh. The motor is going to be replaced with a Hacker C40-12T and I would like to switch to lipos.

I prefer Thunder Power as I use those in all my planes and want to stay with one platform.

What size and how many?

Thanks,
Mike

I run these with my C40-12T. They're only 8C, but they're fine for puttzing around. At $45 for 2, they're hard to pass up. I've run them in both 3S1P and 3S2P and haven't had any issues. 3S2P actually balances out my Corona better. Just make a parallel connector and you can switch back and forth.

Good luck.

I had a Corona with a similar Hacker Set-Up about a 3 years ago. I ran some of the TP 6000 and TP 7800 mah 3s packs and I got about 15-25 min flight times. Of course this was before the time of Pro-Lites and the 7800 was a Gen 1 Pack, so the discharge ratings were much lower and packs were a little heavier. I loved the set-up, on windy days the extra weight was great. It was a great little heli.

Cheers
