On December 20th UPS left my Airtronics Stylus at my front door (after a trip to Airtronics in Anaheim). I was expecting the tx back via USPS but it was sent via UPS by mistake. I didn't see that UPS showed it 'delivered' until 2 days after when I checked the tracking number Bobby Tom at ATX gave me.

UPS has had a standing order for over 8 years to ALWAYS get a signature and never leave a package at my front door. They've paid out over $2k in claims due to packages mysteriously 'lost in transit' or left at my door (or elsewhere) and/or stolen while I've been away. I'll eventually get a new tx at their expense.

Nonetheless, if anyone sees or hears of a Stylus for sale in or around the Las Vegas area or on Ebay, please let me know. It'll be easy to spot -- it's a Mode 3 stick setup (lefty) and it's got two very small holes (0.05"/1.5mm) at 12 & 6 o'c'lock on its left gimbal face for screws to mount a cyclic stick limiter ring.

This particular Stylus has some sentimental value to me due to who owned it before me so I'd really like to find it, even if it means giving back a new one.

I'm sorry to hear about that. I will keep an eye out up here in BC. I will look for it at the R/C Swap meet at the R/C Car Track in BC on the 1/18/07.

Merry Christmas huh? That stinks man. Mode 3 shouldn't be too hard to locate if someone trys to move it.

Hey Pete : will do. I know what it feel like to have your stuff stolen because it happen to me. But I lost everything, heli and flight box and all. I will let you know if I hear of anything. Did you notify the LHS? call Nice twice hobbies since they take stuff in to sell.

To put a partial closing on this story, in January UPS acknowledged their mistake in leaving this package at my door (or wherever) without getting a signature, despite previous clear instructions never to do so. The good folks at Airtronics sent a new Stylus c/o UPS (via USPS, of course) so I'm a happy camper again, even though I missed most of my favorite two months to fly.

PS -- I'm offering a $100 reward for any info that leads to the return of my first Stylus, should it turn up here or on Ebay or anywhere else. As mentioned, it'll be easy to spot because it's setup in Stick Mode 3 as described above.
