| I have been using a DX6/6102 conversion for a couple of months in small electric airplanes and for about 2 weeks with my new TREX 450SE.
Today I flew my new DX7 with my Raptor 50v2, a T34 Mentor 46 size airplane, and the new Funtana 480 size electric airplane.
I just love these radios. It's great to go to the field and not worry a bit about who is on what frequency. The radios work great and I can't really tell any difference, good or bad, from my old FM radio.
The Raptor 50 and the T34 Mentor were using the AR7000 receivers and the Funtana was using a AR6000. I am going to keep the DX6/6102 system for the TREX because I have the big TREX alumimun case and it's just handy to have it all in there whenever I want to go and fly it.
Also I love the feel of the transmitter and don't have any problem with the balance. I am not sure why people even want to make an issue of it. You get use to it very quickly.
I am waiting on 6 more receivers that I have ordered. They are on the way. I will be installing them in another Raptor 50, some planes, and a TREX 600 which I plan on getting after Christmas. I told all my kids I wanted gift certificates from the Heli hobby shop for XMAS. The owner of the shop told me yerterday he met my kids over the last couple of weeks so........
So, would I do it again. Yep, in a heartbeat. Why, just because of the convience of not have to mess with frequencies. And also I don't miss the long antennas.....
