Compass Knight 50 > GV-1 bracket mounting problems

I am just putting the fan on and figuring out how to mount the GV-1 sensor and it seems like the 50 size braket is too short. There is at least a good 3/8" - 1/2" from the top of the magnet to the fan where the mangnet mounts. Any Ideas? 60 size bracket?

Use the 90 sized bracker, and drill a new hole.

Ok I found a 90 size bracket laying around. So I got out my drill bits and DAMN, that braket is made of some hard steel, my bits wont drill through it. So I go and buy Titanium bits and I still can't drill through the damm braket! How did you guys drill a new hole?

Sometimes they are...

surface hardened, just grind a small spot with a Dremel where you want to drill, should help.

Well Mine Ate It's First 9254 Saturday..

Went full C-clockwise during a rolling tail slide, that was interesting. Looked cool though, didn't know I could do ...well whatever it was. It stopped and I got it level about 25' up, hit TH and thought it was going to be OK, then about 5 feet up it went into C-Clockwise piros, ( one disadvantage to driven tails ). Landed it almost level while piroing, took a few mm off my tail blades, and left a small stain in my shorts, but it looks to be OK. Reminds me of my EVO 50 days. I solved it on my Evo's by using the infination servo relocation kit , but I may have to build one for the Knight. Remember to wipe any oil off the servo after every flight. I have been practicing a lot of inverted hovering, so it was extra oily, I should know better, huh?
