I was just looking through the new IRCHA bulletin and read something about a Cobra Roll.

Anyone care to take the time to explain what this manuever is and how its done properly?

Thank you and Merry Christmas

Inbound flight to a 45 degree pullup. Halfway up that leg, execute 1/2 roll. Continue to on same 45 d. upline to midline. Model executes a stationary outside flip (NOT a little outside loop). Reestablish 45 degree downline. Halfway down the downline, excute half roll back to upright. Exit at same height as entry and fly away dead straight and level.

For those who think this is easy, in concept, it is. Then try it and keep the model dead centered on midline, execute that flip with the model completely still, have both rolls axial and at the same height, and have the entry and exit height exactly the same. Hint: you can lose 20% or more of the score before you do anything if the centering is off.
