hi,,i got a gohbee 50 whith all the cnc upgrades,,i bought the head set(one that comes complete with grips, hub, bearings and spindle all put together) a while ago..the other day i noticed it has some side to side play(pull the grips outward and push inward play) i tried to tighten the bolts but they were tight,,,**DOES anyone else have this on theres?*** i know that the stock plastic ones do not have this play...i realize when the heli is running that the force pulls them out anyway, but was wondering because the stock ones don't do that and i did not/can't remeber if the cnc ones did it when new,,if this can cause any problems??

DAMPERS

what type of dampers are you using?if its the stock rubber ones, replace them with the onedge damders from gohbee,or you can add a washer on the stock ones to take up the slack in the rubber dampers.

I had the very same problem on the stock head (.060 gap). What does happen though is the head will NOT center as you might think. I was troubleshooting an intermittent tail vibration for a long time on thie heli and found the same thing as you mentioned.

I shimed the head to eliminate the slop and viola, vibration gone.

If you have any clearance regardless of which dampers are used you will need to shim it out. Not so much as to preload the head, just use a feeler gauge while pulling on one grip.

I also had this problem when I first purchased my Stinger 50 two years ago. You can just shim it. After showing it to David and Jody Greer of Gohbee at the Chattanooga Fun Fly, there appeared to be two diffent spacer sizes that was being distrubuted in the kits. I had to go to the thicker one. When I upgraded to the all metal head I had to dig out the thinner ones.
