with the new paddle, mixing arms, washout levelers and new longer tail blades, the tail holding authoritiy is excellent and the cyclic is much faster. I am really happy with this kit now. Will post more linkage set up soon.

the only difference between the SA and SE is the plastic head parts & tail assemblies? otherwise, the frame is the same?

The frame is same but we also received different SA frame that is a little bit different. It can work with big cyclic servos. I will post the pictures soon. This will allow 2 different settings with different servo options. Frame is made of G10 material and all parts inside frame is also cnc aluminum.

The HDX500SE and HDX500SA use same cnc aluminum swashplate, same fiberglass canopy and same fiberglass main blades also.

I have 3DX-500 which is cron of the HDX-500.
I found out they are a little bit different each other especially Center hub, and seesaw.
If I would modify the head structure making the same as HDX-500, what parts should I buy? only two of these? or more?

as far as tail blade goes, I use the one for EP-8 made from Quick japan rather than the original one. It is longer than original one, and perfactly fit to it.

you need a center hub and a flybar seesaw to upgrade to HDX500 style.

HDX 500 speedy

Anyone one had an issue with the 60 amp stock speedy.
I run a FP 5s 3300 battery. Tested it today and it went into limp mode after 1 minute @ 90% on the TX. These are rated for up to 6s batteries. Maybe just a bad one in the bunch. I don't know any thoughts anyone ?

Stock gear ratio is 3.917 with 94T main and 24T pinion.
At this low ratio, with stock motor or 890kv, even 4s setup will want to produce 3300-3400 head speed. I believe 20T will be more reasonable at 2800 or so head speed with 4s.

For 5s setup 18T pinion will be ideal and will produce 3100 or so head speed.

Here is a pic of my 3DX with the landing gear lift and fins. Crashed it again today.... doing things too low! I have a high pitch sound sometimes from my heli that I don't know what it is... ESC setting perhaps or motor bearings.... don't know. What settings does everyone use on the stock Sonix ESC/motor. I do have some bog. What would a good 4S motor be to get?

What pinion should I get for the Z20 Jimbo? I think I am going to get one along with the Z10 for my MT!

Would anyone be interested in my 3DX-500? I am thinking of selling it to go all larger stuff. Will sell it with out motor/ESC as I am having problems with them, other then that it is a nice machine!
