Venture Fuel Tank Break Ups

I've been hearing lately that in a crash especially one nose first that the fuel tank area often breaks or cracks. Is there any modification or build up that you know of that would "beef up" that area. Or is there nothing you need to do to it?

hmm

I would say if you nosed in your heli a 8 dollar gas tank would be the least of your worries. But I suppose you could incase it in aluminum or something, or wrap the whole nose in bubble wrap, might be hard to get the canopy on though.

I drove ,yes drove my Venture into the ground about a month ago and totaly destroyed the whole front of the helo. The tank got smooshed but not a crack. Checked it out good for leaks and after finding none...put it back in a new frame and away she goes. No problem.

Venture Tank

They say that the body rubs the front corners on the Venture tank, thus creating a hole. On mine I have yet to see any problems with this. At this point I run just about ten gallons through it.

I have had over 12 gal. of fuel run threw my Venture and never had a problem.

James yes you did, My Venture Rocks!! The best part is when the blades rumble through the tight turns. Just open the eleventh gallon of fuel today, plan on running ths out thursday, friday, by sunday probably be through number twelve. having fun with my new adventure.
