Hi Guys,

I own a Corona but I just picked up an LMH 117 with the Corona crutch. Thus it's time to make a mini Corona! Haha it's a travel size heli. Anyhow, I know the Corona has 13x0 blades but the LMH 117 has 10x5 blades. What pinion would you use for let's say an Atomic Force (3600kv) or Mega 16/15/3 (3000kv) on 3s lipo? And on that note, anyone have an extra 32 pitch pinion on hand? I can definitely pay for it. I didn't receive one in the deal and can't imagine paying $7 shipping on a $2 pinion .

Try this site for HS/pinion calculation: http://www.readyheli.com/category_s/81.htm

A head speed of 2000 rpm (recommended) to 2300 (with a reinforced feather plate) seems to be the best for the Corona. Out of those choices I'd go with the Mega and a 8-tooth pinion, but 8-tooth is hard to come by unless you go to the RC car sites. Not too sure about the 10x5 blades. Do they have a large pitch built into them? You could also use 2-dot grips and cut down 120 blades.

Thanks for the tips. I think the 5 in 10x5 means 5 degrees of pitch built in. Any car sites you suggest I visit? An 8 tooth pinion sounds interesting although I heard that because of the smaller rotor disk of the 117 compared to a 120 Corona, it needs a higher headspeed so maybe a 9 tooth? Thanks for the response.
