CAD - Engineering - Technical > OS50 Cad model

I'm looking for an OS50 (SX or Hyper) CAD model, preferably DXF or DWG.

I'm more interested in the exterior shape/dimensions, no
need for any internal parts.

thanks

Hi Mdu6

If you find the drawing Please let me know,

I am also interested in the OS 50, for me will be excellent to have the drawing in Solid Works (Part)….

Thanks…

Just a piece of my heli.I hope it will be finished in a few weeks.
Just have a lot of trouble getting the canopy designed.
If I had a 3D scanner it was piece of cake.

Engin21,

Is that a Solidworks assembly model?

If it is I would be quite interested in it. Would you be considering sharing it?

yes, it's Solid Works.
I could share the model but it is not 100% correct.
I still need to get the design errors out of it because all parts are measured by hand. Took me weeks to do it.
-
So at the moment I don't share this model yet, but when it is finished
I might do it.
My local dealer gave me a lot of spare parts, so I could measure them.
In fact, He gets the first model (E-drawing) so he can put it on his website.
I'll hope you understand.

Oh I do understand Engin21,

That is no problem. I hope you do decide to share it. If there is anything that you have issues with modeling that I could possibly help with, please let me know. I have been using Solidworks since 98Plus.

The canopy is a real pain. I'm doing a lot with SW but Surface technique is complete other way of designing.
The picture below is a Raptor 90SE. If you manage to design the canopy
you get all the parts you need.

Engin21 There is no picture of the canopy.

Have you tried different sections and doing a thin loft?

I haven't really created many free form shapes (like a canopy), but I am up for a challenge if you are offering the parts and assembly.

What version of Solidworks do you have?

Right now SW2007. Looking for the new enhancemnet inside SW2007.
Freeform : Great feature but still didn't have enough time to explore the possiblilties.

Just converted it from SW2006. Still have that copy.
If you are willing to design the canopy, you get the parts/Assembly
you need.

Wow incredible drawing!

Dumb question... but what do you mean by a full working model? Do you mean it's to scale or that it can be a .gif file where it shows the engine running?

Airplanes are for guys with one dumb thumb...

It means if you turn the crank, the piston and everyting else inside moves. You could probably also move the throttle barrel as well. VERY nice work. I jacked around with SW and this must have take a LOT of time and patience.

OS 50 HYPER CAD FILE

Mdu6 and 3Dx,

I have an accurate SW part file of an OS 50SXH. I will have a HYPER head soon. Send me PM and I'll get you the file. Please specify what format you would like. I can translate into most popular formats.

Do you have any Raptor50 or Logo14 CAD files?
