Well, I got a new Hyper 50 to put into the broken Tiger, and a new flight box for Christmas. Also a new snow mobile helmet. I guess I did pretty good this year. Now I need to get building. See ya!

Hi Heliwizard,

the build is going smoothly. The biggest tip so far; the screws have a light coat of machine oil so clean them with isopropl or similiar or loctite will not work well.

I've been using Bob Whites videos from heli-freak and they are really helping make the build go quicker

I've got the head done, frame and tail section.

Cheers,
Leslie

how much are the vids leslie. thanks for the oil tip. i am usually a clean freak anyway. i always clean all the metal parts with 91% alchol. dont want anything coming apart cause of rushing it. so did you get snow up there yet. i saw a few flakes today damn it is winter lol.

Hi Heliwizard,

Just a couple flakes so far....I would prefer a good three foot dump.

the video's I'm referring to are excellent and free. check out:

to use this URL ^^ remove the "-"

let me know if you have any problems finding them, this is also a great heli forum.

Leslie

Hi heliwizard,

?? I just tried the link and those video's are all on the 600.

You will probably have to register for the site (free)

then go to Finless Bob's tech room. the 600 videos are the 6th link down

Cheers,
Leslie

ps, these are well worth the search

winter flying

nothings wrong with flying in the winter but its tough to get a good day in new england and with temps @ or around usually below freezing parts get stiff and are more prone to break i.e.a hard landing in the summer resulting in no damage is not usually the case in the winter...

craig..

Sounds like the Heli was an excellent investment (a lot chaeper than cars). BelindaInMobile had to let me out so that I could pay some bills (I hate creditors .... they just seem to suck my pocket dry on a regular basis). She has the lock and key waiting on me when I get through

Winter projects

I just ordered a T-rex 450 SE with a gy 401 9654 servo and three hitec mini servos and i need to put it togeather. I have a Sceadu Evo 30 and i love it i just want something i can fly in the back yard that won't piss off the neighbors. My other winter project is a Four Star 120 with a Ryobi 31 cc weed wacker engine on it with convertion parts from wacker engines. The funny thing is i could of bought two of these engines for the price of an OS. 120 AX. any way i know this is a chopper site but i love planes two, well not as much as heli's but i love getting CA all over my hands.

What goes up, must come down. How hard is up to you!
