Hi all,

I just came in from flying 3 packs on my trex-se, it's getting chilly here in New Hampshire...sigh.

I'm wondering what you cool climate flyers are planning for this winter? You folks in warm climates, please refrain from rubbing it in!

I was planning on a trex-600 for Christmas and working on a couple small hummingbird FP for scale projects. But the hubby has actually asked for a heli for Christmas!!

I'm thinking of getting him a blade cx to start. I'm also thinking HE will be my winter project!! Smirk, it's all good

Cheers,
Leslie

Leslie,
It's warm mid 50's here and I have been flying all day with the 2 trex's and 2 blades and I even got the jet ranger v3 out today.... It was a good day... I have the 500E fuse painted I just need to finish the painting details then it's ready to go on the XL I also have another 500E fuse for the SE but I might sell that one and get a huey or bell 222 for it instead.... I just posted some pics of my blade cp with a jet ranger fuse on it. It's white and I'm not pleased with the look... I would like a 600 for xmas but it might have to wait til spring as I'm out of work right now.
I'm almost ready to try a loop before I give up flying outside for the year...

Tom..... No "D" flying....

CX is the best hover trainer ever!! Sit watch MNF and chase the dog around the room. You learn quick. I wish I new local women who flew heli's, hell I wish I new anyone local who flew heli's. Oh its like mid 80's here but was too windy to fly my logo(new bird) and my rex's receiver was cannabalized for the logo.

Hi Leslie

My only winter project will be to keep my sanity through the holidays, after that just having some good old fashioned relaxing time with my honeybear. Doubt I get much flying in this year all my birds have to be stripped and cleaned because of my feathered birds ( yes the noisy kind that bite every now and then). But you can always come to visit.

Hi Leslie

We have to strip down and clean all my helis because they have been in the room with the real birds, so you can probably guess what they are looking like(feathers and seed) all over them. It should be fun if we do one at a time or I will hide and let him do all of it. The only heli that was safe was my trex.

Hi Leslie

I have a triton cocktoo and three lovebirds left. I sold all my cockatiels and 3 pairs of lovebirds already, I'm hoping to sell the rest before the year is out, ( I became allergic to my birds) and I like breathing without the sneezing watery eye garbage.

Leslie,

BelindaInMobile unlocked the cage again

I guess that we will get our cold weather a little earlier than normal, but I guess that means that we won't have any cold weather for the rest of the winter

Between the CX, T600 and hubby, sounds like you've got it covered.

And if not, you and hubby could take a trip to sunny southern CA.
Oh wait, you said no rubbing it in...

Hi all,

Thanks all of you warm weather flyers..... I said no taunting!!! smirk!

Anyway, I got one of the new FP's up and running. It is a serious patchwork of parts from the bin. I found a Piccolo 4 in 1 and slapped it on with the stock brushed motor, ripped the servos off the piccolo and a new heli is born.

I'm not impressed with the Piccoboard Plus, but it flys well enough to be turned into a scale heli. That will be stage two.

I'll keep ya all posted!! Between snow storms

Cheers,
Leslie

Hi Leslie,

You better slow down you won't have anything left to do when it really gets bad out there. We haven't even thought about starting yet, been to busy getting ready for the family to arrive. Hopefully after Thanksgiving we can get started.

I guess I need to get my other Tiger 50 put together. I think it will probably be better to have two of them to fly just in case I have some unexpected oops. That tends to happen to me sometimes. Take care and stay warm!

Purring like a kitty, but flying with the Tigers!!! Yeah Baby! Lori
