attached the Hacker B40 (Voyager E BL set, so maybe 8S or so) to the 3S (11.1V) battery and under no load gearing up to med. speed and measured temp. that thing went over 110 degC, then I had to stop power Do you think it is broken ? If yes - how can I find out ? Thanks so much, was expensive motor ...

mine runs at about 130 ,has for a long time ,so yours doesnt seem that high to me IMO

really ?? people say at around 120 (I am talking about Celsius, not Farenheit), the motor starts to demagnetize ...

Sorry ,i was talking farenheight, you might try a smaller pinion gear
if that will give you enough head speed
