| I put the gyro up front because I did not like the wire routing from the back, to many moving parts to go by. Just my preferrence, I have always mounted my gyros up front.
I did have to make some spacers for the pivot suppports though on the aileron and pitch servos. When I tried to bolt the support down it was bending and rubbing on the servo horn mount. I used 2.5 nut drilled out to 3mm. Good spacing.
When I talked to Todd about the torque tube problem, inspot1967 was correct, the TT collar should be flipped around. The instruction manual is incorrect and will be fixed. I built mine per the instructions but I don't think I will get them apart to swap the collars around, that fit was tight. When I assembled my setup I did have to heat the alluminum tube. I did this in the hope that I would not stress out the alluminum during the install and cause a fatique, plus it helped to get the coupler on! Only time will tell and I will check it periodically. |
