Bergen R/C Helicopters > Intrepid Flybar Lock – How to Use It?

I bought a flybar lock with my Intrepid GAS EB kit and can’t figure out where it attaches to the rotor head to lock the flybar. It is a thin aluminum sheet about 1 inch wide and bent 180 degrees to form a U shape. One side has a notch about 1 inch long and 0.25 inch wide.

My rotor head is completely assembled with all linkages attached and everything sits on main shaft including washout unit and a swash plate. I’m pretty embarrassed, but still can’t understand where to stick that flybar lock (no pun intended). I want to lock the flybar and then using a pitch gage verify that both paddles are exactly at same pitch.

Any help would be appreciated,

David

David...with the notched cut out facing up...the lock slides on the in under the flybar pivot tube...it goes in perpendicular to the fly bar...

here are a couple pictures...

Thanks for the picture! Now I understand the notch is for the flybar control arm clearance!
