I have an 8.08 gear ratio in my avant. If I use an engine rpm of 15,800 I get a headspeed of 1955 If I use 16,000 engine rpm I could get 1980rpm! Is this safe on the programmable head and 690 vblades? thanks, currently Iam using 1930 headspeed

1980 seems a litle high. The Avants can rev slightly higher than other models due to their weight + head etc. I've heard of some people reving them at 1950 (710 blades) with no problem. However, aslong as your engine can take it, it will be fine 1980 seems a little high, try between 1850 and 1950, this will get that engine in the zone. 1930 seems fine on the AVANT series.

1950 was the highest I have heard about. So far 1930 is smooth and powerful I will try 1950 also. Thanks guys!
