How many people admit to there screw ups when they go in? Or do they say "a link must have come off" "the battery went dead" "the sun was in my eyes" "it just let go" "it broke in the air" Or I know "I LOST THE SIGNAL" "some one shot me down " You never hear "I DID IT" or "I just screwed up!! "I was pushing the envelope". When ever I go in I always laugh!! If you don't you will quit! I go throw a set of blades and t or 2 every season. But when you fly 70 -90 gallons you will. Just never hear that guy saying it was his fault!!JasonM

It wasn't me

So far every one of my crashes can be directly linked to a spontaneous change in the gravitational forces active at our field. Honestly.

But there was also that one incident where an ant worked its way into my transmitter case and caused a short circut.

I've only had one battery related crash and it was minor blades, spindle and main shaft the rest were all 100% my fault.

Mine are links

I have to admit that all of my crashes have been from links popping off.

It has to be, because everytime I head out to pick up the pile of rubbish, there is always a link and sometimes more links that are off.!!!!

Why cant they make a link that wont pop off.!!!!!

...because too many people have egos much larger than skills, and they simply can't admit failure.

It's too bad, because you learn much more from understanding the causes failure than to blame others for your sins --- sorry if that's too deep.

I HAVE NEVER CRASHED A HELI!!!

Maybe it's because I've never flown one either......ya think?

Actually I'm getting one for my Birthday (I think) so I can't wait to join the ranks of the broken rotor blades and boom stikers of the world.

I messed up.....

I bought a helicopter.
Now my check book will never be the same.

I have had only a couple pure dumb thumbs. That was when I first started.
Lately mine have been mechanical except the oops auto last week, but that was cheap.
I am usually the first one to laugh when mine go in. Then it is the "oooh will you look at how that bent.....Wow I didn't think it would break like that...He He He "
Crashing is part of the fun....Till you start adding up the bill.

I'm forever burying the damn things in the ground. Not really my fault. Normally I lose the fight against gravity, must come from being beaten up by my older brother as a kid.

Then two much G2, now I keep landing it on it's side, or upside down. Each time I do this I press the space bar and the machine doesn't come back to me and start up. Haven't figured out what is going wrong?!?

Just started and they are ALL my fault...

Let me see if I can recap...

(1) Dumb thumbs and lack of reaction
(2) When in trouble go up...not down
(3) Keep an eye on the rx charge if you want to fly all day

(4) Never work on the HELI at 3am...the blades may go on wrong

If it is possible to do wrong then I am sure to find it...but I am learning!

Honestly.........most of mine were myself (learning and dumb thumbs) but just yesterday (AND THIS IS THE TRUTH) i done an auto and when i landed I actualy landed on a rabbit that had a hole in the ground and i didnt see it (cause it was in the hole) When the helo landed on the rabbit hole the rabbit jumped up and knocked the helo over on its side!!!!!!!!!!! I think the rabbit was fine as i ran off but believe it or not the heli was perfectly fine cause it was almost a botched auto as i had NO head speed left when i land kinda hard.......... good thing cause with no headspeed i think thats how the ergo survived the tip over with out a scratch!!!! So i can honestly say the Rabbits in my backyard field are the cause of my crashes..... lol but that is an actual true story. AND I HAD 3 WITNESSES!!!!!!!!1

all i could do is laugh!!!

Wes, Flying inverted over those rabbit holes will eventually cure that rabbit problem when they stick their heads out. OUCH What a mess that would be. HEHEHE
I'm just kidding. I wouldn't ever condone hurting an animal.
I guess that rabbit sure was lucky.

I have so far only had one mishap with the heli and it was my fault due to poor judgement .
