Hi all,

Has anyone got a fair amount of play in their tail bell crank where the ball (of the tail pitch slider) fits ??..

Ive been looking mine over the today and its almost like the ball is undersized and i was just wondering if anyone else has it ??

Cheers

Hi ya Tris!

Yes I spotted this on Duncans Synergy's. Not sure what the official response will be, but it dont seem to have much negative effect.

Yoh russ ...

Thanks for that, no it doesnt seem to have much effect but it can't be a good thing at the end of the day. I am currently digging through my spares draws trying to find a ball which is slightly bigger, if not then its the old robbe mosquito trick of Vaseline, thick cyno and kicker

So you got your's together yet or is it still sitting in its box ?? ...

You guys must be doing something wrong, JK and TB said they wouldn't release the Synergy til it was perfect...

Rumour has it that the control balls in the kit were sized to be plated, but were not. Therefore they are 2x the plating thickness smaller than they should be for the ball links; leading to development of a fair amount of slop quickly.

Yeah, there is a fair bit of slop on the tail of mine too. It doesn't seem to have any adverse effect on the flying performance though. What I don't really like is the idea of that 106-813 lock ring holding it all together. I put epoxy on mine just to be sure!

Hey "the collective", why do you have an axe to grind? Sarcastic flames like yours help ruin a thread and RR.

there is a lot of slop in all the balls in my heli, the flybar to servo slop is 90% ball links.

the links snap on tightly but there is slop in them all.

i wonder what they will say.
