Your mates in Perth are using the YS91, so maybe you should follow them especially since you're new to nitro.

What's your definition of Best?

I've been flying YS for years and have installed the SB16 in my N9. I've been using the YS91 and MP2 in my Tempest and it pulls +-12 degrees on cool air no problem, 30 % nitro though. The motors sold since last September seem to be more powerful than previous. I have seen no documentation of this but I believe it to be true.

The motor is easy to adjust and its consistent and smooth from day to day. OS SZ does have slightly more power but it doesn't run consistent day to day and you have to say on top of it every time you fly. I would rather have a smooth running and consistent motor and don't mind giving up a little performance for it. The OS SZ does not hover as vibration free as the YS.

My $0.02.

The pumped version, nor the non-pumped with the C-Line carb doesn't have this problem.
