IMO it is a nice inexpensive heli that beginers can learn on without the worry of a $300 or $400 repair bill after a crash. I have the Stinger 90 and a Raptor 50. I wanted a 90 size machine and after deciding I did not want to refinance my house to afford the cost of a 90 as well as the repair bills of a 90 I went with the Stinger 90.

There is no connection between Gohbee and TT.

On the Gohbee Stinger 30/50 almost all parts below the swash are interchangeable with the raptor 30/50. Above the swash they are completely different.

The Gohbee Stinger 60/90 do still have some common parts below the swash with the raptor 60/90 but not as many as the smaller ships.

Even though the parts are interchangeable with a raptor they still are different. For instance if you hold a Raptor and stinger frame next to each other you will notice thicker and taller stiffening ribs and other areas that are beefed up. This theme holds true for many of the parts.

Your welcome, I had a lot of help getting started in helies and now it is my turn to return the favor.
I do try to be more than just a "Talking Head" though.

The Stinger swashes are different from a raptor swash.
The swashes will physically work and interchange but fly different.
I once tried a raptor swash on my Gohbee and it did not have the same feel due to different ball ratios. The Raptor Swash made the Stinger feel sluggish.

I never tried the Stinger swash on a Raptor so I do not know if it would liven up the raptor or not.

my TT swash with stinger head on the 50 is fast enough as is. i had to finally tone it down with the stock gohbee paddles after flying the R90. big differences in my 90 and 50 setups for sure...

swashplate

i installed a mavrick swash and washout unit on my stinger50 because i put on the thunderpacks eccpm conversion kit on my heli.i had to use a raptor/mavrick swashplate to use the 120 degree ring that comes with the eccpm kit.

I am going to stay with mechanical mixing for the time being...so I will go with the Gohbee metal swash...I am not going to be using top notch servos to start so..I think eCCPM mixing maybe a little too much for the servos I'm going to use.

Actually, with eccpm you dont need nearly as strong a servo since all the servos are workning together to control the mix. All three lift and lower the swash, so three 40oz servos on eccpm is equal to one 120oz servo for pitch on mccpm. Also, two servos control aileron input so thats like a 80oz aileron servo on eccpm. And all three work together again on elevator input.

It is true that in terms of strength aspects of an individual servo..
eccpm would be less demanding.

I was refering to the fact that they must work together in a syncronized manner...cheap servos can't do that as well as higher quality ones. Servos also tend to age differently which doesn't help with sync characteristics. So...the same thing that makes them strong in an eccpm system.....also makes a demand on synchronicity... $$$$

My cheap servos have plenty of torque but probably not all that accurate.

you cant imanage the difference in cyclic responce of the eccpm.my stock stinger with the green tt paddles was fast,but you would'nt belive the responce it has now.
