| Sorry,..... I have to disagree with you on this one lads!
I have had canopies from Both DYD and ArizonaHeli and consider them both to be the best in the business, both have a superb reputation for quality and produce some of the most awesome canopies out there today!
Also i know many including myself that when your ordering a canopy your doing so because you want a canopy of the highest quality and finish. Both DYD and Arizona have huge waiting lists and that says something to me, there is a waiting list for a reason!!!!
Yes!....You pay for the canopy but i always say,...You get what you pay for!!!
Now,...to me (No disrespect Roger) Roger is an impatient man and wanted his canopy immediately, so he has not been prepaired to wait and had somebody copy the design, there there is no way your going to stop people doing this unless you patent the design.
Now to me i am prepaired to wait for my canopies, if i have to wait i will just bang a basic canopy on to fly with untill the painted canopy comes,...Simple!
Dave,..!! Please don't stop what your doing!,..it will be a huge loss to have such an inspiration like you around on the forum, if masters like you don't share your knowledge and experiance then the future generations are...well....F##ked to put not too finer point on it!
Anybody can paint a canopy but it takes a true master of the art to get a finish and design like DYD and many others.
Guys,... think back to say you school days and if you were then one who spent many and day and night studying and working to get the best possible grades you could and then some punk comes along who spends their day bunking off doing sweet F''k all and steals your work or copies your work and gets the same grade as you,...! How did that make you feel??? I know because it used to Piss me right off!!
