RockDoc,

You mean its hot with day time temps going over 105F and with humidity the heat index says its going to feel like 115?

I'm tired of global warming. I want my ice age. Well maybe not.

I'd love the ice-age. Imagine the sliding autos you could do on a glacier..

Nah, it's been pi**ing down constantly since I got up this morning and it's blowing a gale ontop of that.

Another day passes with it sat on the table looking sorry for itself whilst i've got itchy fingers.... Maybe tomorrow then...

How have you fitted that header tank? Looks like a TT one? Have you drilled the frame and installed using a stand off of some kind?

Painted canopys

No the N9 comes with a all white one. If you didn't order yours from AZ heli it will be 4-5 months out. So, forgot about it!

Darren,

Have you drilled your frames to pass the exhaust return back through to the pressure nipple?!?

Looks pretty smart, but am afraid to splinter the frames, does it drill easily?

It flys just fine. Does what you tell it to, just like your girl friend or wife should! lol

Hi,

The header tank is a Thunder Tiger one (I happened to have a spare somehow). Just mounted the bracket upside down and attached to the sideframe using a short standoff that I also had knocking about. I am also using a Fuel Magnet too but like the header tank for extra security.

Drilled a hole through each of the sideframes to pass the exhaust pressure feed back through. Will be fitting a couple of grommets when I can get hold of them so that it doesn't chaffe. G10 drills easy enough and doesn't seem to splinter as bad as Carbon.

Canopy comes all white gelcoat with a screen line imprinted in it. There was a small hairline crack in the bottom of mine where the two mould halves meet but it is pretty un-noticeable once painted.

Another lousy day this morning so looks like I might be grounded yet again for the third day in a row....aaargh, wanna see what this baby is capable off!!!

Thanks for the info RockDoc, I will also be using a fuel magnet but like you I also like the idea of a header tank.

For the moment I'm just running my exhaust manifold line from the tank and down under the engine and back up the other side. But may well drill now that I know G10 is ok for drilling.

Fuel line set up

Thanks Bri for not crashing it.

On my tank using a YS, no header tank. I used a sealed bearing that fit just over the clunk line to give it more weight. I have not had a lean issue or a flame out. I size the clunk about a half inch from hitting the back of the tank. Works just fine.

Thanks again for letting me fly it.
I guess its the fuel magnet that I was talking about that gets every drop out of the tank and doesn't lean out when there is no more fuel.

Got mine in the air today to see what it can do and WOW!!! It's nimble as hell, accelerates like a rocket and stops instantly! I'm a huge fan of my Raptor 90's but this has absolutely awesome performance. Very, very stable at low headspeeds and in the hover, though it does tend to 'wabble' if you run it a touch too slow! It was well worth the wait to get hold of one of the first batch. Can't wait to fly it again tomorrow.

Hopefully will get some flight pictures over the weekend to post in my Gallery.

Need to pay of the credit card and get the next one on order...

Finally managed to get a calm evening down the south of England as well, 1st tank was half full incase of any engine issues, all ran smoothly in the hover with a head speed of 1650... 2nd tank some more of the same and the 3rd I let rip... Took the head speed to 1850, rolls are endless, loops as big as you want them. Did a few tic tocs, stall turns n funnels all seems great. As Rockdoc said she feels alot lighter than the Raptor 90SE more on a par with my Fury Extreme. Bags of power from the engine (this engine had been pre run in a raptor 90) I left the field with a huge smile and will certainly be heading back tomorrow for some more fun.

Flys like non other..

WOW I have to say I am very impressed with the Synergy N9.(and thats coming from a Vibe pilot).
By far the smoothest machine I have ever flown.
It is so precise its unbelievable.
One of the things that I really like is the uniqueness of the part design.
G10 frames and fins, all delrin gears and all allen screws and when I say all I mean all.
It has the crown gear lower about 2 inches from the main gear and that puts the tail boom lower which will prevent boom strikes.
Sleek design and very aerodynamic. It pics up speed like non other. I never had to slow a Helli down until now lol..
Hey I'm no expert pilot but have been flying for a few years to know a damn good Helli when I fly one.
It's a well thought out machine and worth every dime and brain cell
I wouldn't think twice about it otherwise it will be gone

Radio ?.. $1300 . Fuel ?... $ 20... Synergy?.. Priceless
