Action Hobby will be relocating to Bus. Rt1 between Reedman and Lowe. He will be carrying Raptor and T-Rex align spare parts. He also wanted to have the capability to distribute SJF membership application so he can direct propective helicopter pilot members.

It's been posted that there,s a 20 member limit. The club is at 15 already. I'm guessing there will be the need for a waiting list.

Perhaps the 20 member limit pertains to the amount of members actually allowed at the field at one time. If this is the case then you could probably bring in 30 or so seeing as how not everyone shows up at the same time.

I'd like to understand the rationale behind the 20 member limit. Seems kind of odd that the county is imposing a membership limit, yet the purpose of the county park system is to serve the public.

You'd have to ask Jeff that one. I don't get it either.

I do know that the current layout of the field only supports a maximum of 3 pilots in the air at one time as the pilot area is only 100 feet wide.

The pilot area is pretty small, it's the flying area that's fairly large.

Pete,
I did hear that Somerset is constructing a second flying field. Supposedly in Somerset somewhere. I'm interested in seeing how that pans out. You can't beat a $20.00 per year membership to an AMA flying field.

Your right you won't be flying for atleast 2 weeks.

So lets say you take the Trex and fly it in the cabin. Will the Trex slam into a wall or is airspeed needed? I've been thinking about it for awhile. Im sure on deck it would drift with the air.

Thanks
Anthony

But you know I'll have spare parts with me.

Actually I'm not even thinking about bringing any helis on this trip. I'm looking foreword to a total change in my daily routine for 9 days. The strangest thing will be not having the bike! I forget the last time we vacationed without it.

Looking like a great weekend for flying. I might just have to sneak out on Saturday for a few flights.

Anyone heading to the field on Saturday?

I will and hopefully the fuel with me too. I'm an eager beaver to get flying inverted backwards as second nature. I think this is the only thing holding me back to try other things Don. I got to get that no fear of crashing attitude like you do - it is very good attitude to get good at this hobby.

My philosophy is that most people that dont crash are not trying hard enough pushing the envelop to improve. See you then!

That's me... No Brai... uhh I mean Fear!

I'll see if Shawn will be able to make it on Saturday so he can haul my fuel for me. The Jetta won't hold my gear and 4 cases of fuel!

Don,

I finally figured out making my own cable hooking up my 14MZ to Reflex XTR USB interface using phone wires. You are right - it is better and closer to the real thing. I'm using Vibe 90 model. I will try the Aurora Avant next.

I'm impressed. How the heck you figure that electrical stuff out I'll never know.

After flying G3 at Jasons I can now say that XTR is a far superior sim. G3 seemed more like an arcade game that a true flight simulator.

Let me know what you think of the Aurora. I thought it was a pretty good flying model.

I wasn't impressed with Reflex XTR. I sold my copy and kept G3. Try try the Aurora in G3. I think it's pretty impressive.
