Someone should really contest the even/odd day rule. I'm curious who made the rule and what the justification is/was. Seems like all the decisions are being made behind closed doors w/o justification. There should be a contact at the park commission who is responsible for this.

The beauty of it is that Jeff actually met with the county and agreed to these terms. None of us were even aware that this was going on. I can't argue because I haven't made the last few club meetings, but it seems like we have no say in what goes on at the field. I would have definately been at that meeting had I known it was happening.

Sounds like you guys need a new club president.... One person making decisions on behalf of the entire club without any membership input isn't a good thing. This obviously isn't your fault, but things like this happen all too often.

I say it's just the nature of clubs in general. I give Jeff credit for having gone through the pains of getting it started. He put a lot of effort into it and it's served as a vehicle to gather like minded people for the purpose of having a good time doing something they all have in common. The nature of helicopters is that they don't require a dedicated field with a manicured runway and therefore are open to flying almost anywhere. Forming a club around a hobby that has no real use for one is tough to keep together.

Face it. If we weren't an official club none of this would be happening. If we all could have just gathered together to fly without calling it a club then we would have never been a part of the meeting to split the use of the field.
