Looks nice....
I think you did a elevator pull-pull though
I use the TT elevator upgrade on my Stinger 50 also

if you are refering to those braces that hold the center of the servo, whilst it turns, then no, I have not had the chance to use it. From a mechanical standpoint, I like the push pull instead, becouse there is the other end, what the servo is controling, you can have issues there too, seams like the push/pull solves this.

Now if you had both that might be a sweat setup, but if we get technical, the gears are only pushing on one side of the outter gear, hmm, I think we need dual motor servos to overcome this limitation

I am actualy going to go push pull on the collective as well, as soon as I can source the spacers needed to put the mechanics in where the rudder servo was (I moved mine out of there, and not on the tail boom either)

I followed your link and is shows 3 pics of the right side of the Stinger
the pics show the pull-pull and blue belcrank being added to the top (elevator) servo
are you saying you did the double ballink brace mod to the collevtive servo?

That is correct, it is a push/pull kit from a raptor 90 for the elevator. I am also going, but have not done as of yet, the push/pull for the collective, on the left side.

Rocked the hell out of the Stinger 50 all weekend long. Man beautiful weather, plenty of fuel and brought em home in one piece!!!! Dude the Stingers friggin' outperformin' all the rappy's! just might be those 15 g carbon paddles, They are sick with the punch , but not for the light hearted

Wow...Bill

You are Stinger Crazy...!!

I bet with those paddles you could carve a Turkey..

Are you using a throttle govenor? If so what kind? I had been looking
at the 'ATG' and just bought one but haven't installed it yet..

Keep rockin' the House...I bet those Rappies at your field....need a little self esteem counseling right about now !!!

Well I have a set of 14g carbon paddles that are unreal. I thought they would be too light but they are real smooth yet it rolls incredibly quick, Yes Much faster then my raptor with the same paddles, although on the raptor I had to use 5g weights cause it was too twitchy. and I make the paddles myself.

CONCEPT1.....

Would you happen to have any other comments about general flight characteristic differences between the Stinger and the Raptor?

Thanks.....

well i started with a Century Falcon SE, which I loved but everyone else here flies Raptors so I switched. i found the raptor to be very twitchy and pitchy, the falcon flew like it was on rails. the plastic parts wore out very fast on my raptor and I ended up upgrading to full metal head. it was much quicker then the Falcon but just not smooth. I tried every blade/paddle combo i oculd find and ended up with the Carbon paddles with weights were the only thing that got my raptor to be as smooth/precise as the falcon. but it was still Quicker.
My gohbee out of the box, is rock solid very very stable with whatever I have put on it, blades seem to have little or no effect on it's stability never had any pitcheness... etc, just like my Falcon the head is very stable but it is just as quick as the raptor, but with the carbon paddles it is quicker then the raptor. it does everything the raptor does except it does not get pitchy in FFF. and it flies more like it is on rails very stable not jumpy at all. so far I have found no bad tendencies at all. I have only had it for 2 months, I flew the century Falcon Se for 2or 3 years and the raptor for 1.5-2. I guess my only complaint it the canopy is ugly so I switched it to the raptor canopy. I have heard complaints that the metal parts wear, but going back to my century days (loc-tite your bearings in the aluminum) and it can't wear out.... I can't believe how fast it rolls.

I had one and LOVED it!!

I've flown mine for a about a year and I really liked it. Very good 3D out of the box, only needed the 3D dampers.

Good helicopter, nice quality... I sold it to fund a T-rex 600, because I needed to go electric.

The head on a Gohbee is a WAY better design than a Raptor, just no comparison!

Cheers,

Richard

Concept1 and Richard.....

Thanks allot for your comments ...I really appreciate you taking the time! I have heard others comment on the smoothness of FF flight and the quick cyclic response...and you guys just confirm that even more.

Have either of you flown or seen a Stinger 90 fly? I wonder if
your comments would pertain to the 90 as well.

Thanks again guys for the info...it sounds like the Stingers are a great heli....and especially so ...given it's price point in the market.

I have 2 of the gohbee 90s,and have had 2 stinger 50s, i have not flown the raptor 90 so i cant compare the flight to the raptor but the stinger 90 fly like a big stigner 50 to me.

Hey I didn't ask for this fetish.!!!But I'am sure paying for it....
