| Ok just wondering, whats a magnet due?

The fuel magnet was invented by James O'Neal, (founder of OMI in Huntsville, AL & inventor of the ViperHead). It serves as a replacement for both the fuel tank clunk and header tank... giving better performance than each while removing unnecessary weight from the helicopter (i.e. weighs less than the clunk and you'll no longer need your header tank). It's a spongy material that goes on the end of the fuel line inside of the tank (replacing the clunk) and sucks every last drop out of the fuel tank while maintaining an air-bubble-free constant supply of fuel to the carburetor. I got to watch this device being tested out at the field in Huntsville while in its final stages of development a few years ago and it was absolutely amazing...
Here's an example of what the device will actually do...
When flying your helicopter until literally running out of fuel with the standard equipped "fuel clunk" and "header tank", towards the end of the flight as you're running out of fuel you'll hear the engine RPM start to increase, run somewhat erratically, as the mixture leans out just before the engine finally quits... After autorotating down and collecting your helicopter, you will find that some fuel still remains sloshing around at the bottom of your main tank, that the clunk was unable to reach. You also experienced an uneven mixture towards the end of the flight as the leaning sound indicates the header tank was allowing tiny air-bubbles to get through once the main tank was depleted. With the fuel-magnet installed in place of the clunk and the header tank removed... when flying the helicopter until running out of fuel you will have a constant mixture right up until the engine quits... (i.e. you will never hear the engine start to lean out, RPM change, or engine start to sound erratic towards the end of the tank...) When the engine does quit, and you autorotate down and collect your helicopter, you'll find that the main tank is completely empty of every last drop of fuel... as if it was swabbed down with cotton balls.
The fuel magnet serves as a capacitor inside of the fuel tank, only does a much better job in this function than does the header tank. The spongy material weighs less than the clunk when dry, yet when emersed in fuel inside the tank takes on weight so that it can still follow the fuel around while upright, inverted, etc... and thus serves the function of the clunk... yet uses your fuel to derive its weight rather than adding weight unnecessarily to the helicopter. It's really an absolutely ingenious device...
