I just got a MEGA 16/15/3 and a quark 33 ESC for my Corona. Can I run a 15C 3s1p 2100mah battery pack with it? I have some of those for my TREX and some guys run the same motor in the TREX's....

You'll have to put 2 of 'em together to get the 4200mah or settle for pretty short flights due to the "low" Mah and the amps you'll be drawing. Other than that, the battery fits the motor just fine assuming you know what your amp draw is and you're not overloading the battery.

I don't understand why the Corona flying pretty tame figure 8's and lazy circles around the field needs more MAH's than a TREX flying with much higher headspeed and agressive 3D....

Can I switch to a 4S Lipo? I want to keep the weight down and not go to a 3S2P....

hmmmm...got me there. Higher voltage should get you higher head speed and less run time. As long as the specs for the motor will tolerate the extra voltage..try it and see what happens. What's the weight of the Trex compared to the Corona?

1100~1300 for the corona
500~650 for the t-rex.
