| I had 2 helis, 2 rc cars and loads of other stuff taken, although It was from my house, I was with direct-line at the time.
I thought as it is an object that is normally kept in your house and you take it out to use it (like a camera) you can claim
I did it on individual items, ie TX, heli, heli, car, car......and then listed all the items that were extras, the insurance Co. were then happy, the sent the list to a model shop (who sold hornby train sets!!) for price check,,, and I managed to get £3500+ out of them
Dont give up, insurance companies will do anything to get out of paying. My insurance only covered up to £500 per item, hence you need to split it out

with a £175 excess on my policy, so I would end up paying them £75 if I claimed
