I posted a set of 710 night blades for trade on a set of 680 night blades. Amitush25 replied and we struck a deal. He got his blades as I promissed but I have yet to see anything in return. It has been about 4 weeks now and quickly approaching 5. Amit will no longer reply to emails or PM's so I felt the need to go public, maybe someone will read this and stay away from dealing with this guy, at least until he comes clean with the new in box 680 MS night blades he promissed. I'm miffed, I spent 35+ dollars shipping so this guy could get his 710's and now I'm out the shipping cost and the blades.

That really stinks man. I know Alan and he's a good guy to deal with.

That's why I choose to not do any deal outside the USA.

I'm learning. I'm thinking maybe it's state side only from now on.

Hmm.. Have a look at the Good Guys post regarding him and a 9Z..

Anyhow, pop off a PM to I3DM and see if he can help you out with Amitush25.

For you guys considering only trading stateside, let me tell you that I just barely escaped getting ripped off by a guy in Florida, so you'll have problems within the US as well.

Not all of us "foreigners" are bad to trade with. Just ask anyone I've done a deal with.

Sorry

Hey Slow,
I hope I didn't come across as saying all none US folks are bad to deal with, I just think it would be easier to find help from someone if a deal does go bad.

Cheers, Alan

IMO the Good Guys list is pointless. When I deal with people on here I don't bother to look at the list. I consider, is this person communicating with me or not. Is the person giving me information on their for sale item in a timely manner. And there are other things I look for as well.

Well I3DM has had his share of problems in the past but seems to have redeemed himself.

I actually got ripped off by an American living abroad. I was trying to help him buy some extra parts and he ripped my off. It was a major pain to get some money back from him.

I didn't say anything about "foreigners", I said, "I choose to not do any deal outside the USA." So please don't imply that I am slamming "foreigners".

My point is that we sellers here in the US have many buyers of our used RC goods. So why go through the extra hassle of selling overseas?

BTW I have lived overseas, (Oslo, Norway) and had many visits to the Malmoe Helipad. Beautiful flying on the West Coast of Sweden. It's actually one of my favorite places that I've flown over.

Alan, sorry to hijack your thread.

Improving

I just got a tracking number from Amit. When the package arrives I'll post here again and let folks how things turned out.

I agree with Jeff the GG list isn't so much help. Amits communication was excellent so I opted to go ahead and deal with him.

Stay tuned, I should know in a few days.

Amazing how the communications lines somehow improve when you post the issue in a public place.

alawel, if you remember, i dealt with you before (we traded for my nice Futura SE back then), i know youre a very good guy.

Amitush25 is a flying buddy of mine and i will do all i can to help in this issue.

From past expirience using the (cheap) Israeli Airmail, packages arrived at times after 6 weeks ! most of them get there after 1-2 weeks but some of them just get delayed like hell, but at least for me, they always get there.

Ill tell you what - PM me the tracking number and ill try to find out anything i can.

Exactly, and i have worked extremely hard to prove just that myself, and im damn proud of it too.

Bottom line - its not a matter of being foreign or US based, its a matter of being honest and using the proper shipping courier (that would have to be EMS in this case). Thats all.

TTT

Turns out the tracking number does not exist. Looks like I may be out a set of blades on this one. If Karma has anything to do with it, the blades will explode in the air and total his Vibe.

It surprises me how little money someone is willing to sell their name for. My good name is woth more than a 130.00 set of blades.

We'll see

Well I got the blades, one of them is fractured about 1/4 of the way out from the root and runs about 1/2 the cord of the blade from the leading edge to the trailing edge. Don't know if it happened in shipping, the box seems to be in tact but I guess they could have been stepped on during shipping.

I've PM'd Amit, guess I'll see what happens next.

night blades

OK, I think we have this wrapped up. Amit sent me another blade to replace the one broken in shipping. He did offer to buy a new set of blades and have them shipped from a shop here in the states.
All is fine, deal is done.
