Hi All,

I thought I would share my 'moron' moment just in case any of you run into this.

I've been having problems with ff and fff with right hand turns (nose perspective). I thought I was going nuts, right brain/left brain thing. The elevator control seemed psychotic.

Today I was two batts in and I was taking a break and I notice the elevator link has slipped off the ball (trex) and was riding on the collar.

Total DOH!! So you all add this to you preflight. It, obviously, made a huge difference in conrol.

I feel like an idiot

Cheers,
Lesie

Hi Kjfly,

Yeah, but it's the really dumb one's that get ya going. I fixed the link.... and low and behold I can turn both ways (in a figure eight) with no issues.

Makes me wonder how long this "oops" went unnoticed. I guess I had best take my preflight up a notch

Cheers,
Leslie

Hi Leslie,

The wife (kjfly) doesn't alow me to slack off. I have to make sure when she is done flying, everything is checked over twice. I too have found things that just don't make sense. She says it needs to be ready when she feels the need for flight...

We all have those moments though. I just can't let her know when they happen!!!!!-- How is it she always knows everything though.. gotta figure that one out..
