VKSY, I gotcha. And you are right, many factors come together.

I just wanted to make it clear for any newbies lurking that the rotor plane's location from the CG plays a role as well.

The only advantage I see with underslung flybars for any Raptor size is that you don't have to mess with removing the blade grips each time to replace worn oval links. I have owned Raptors for over 6 years, and it becomes a pain after a while.

I've never had to remove the grips for that job. I cut the old ones off, and flex the new ones on over the grip. I've done this with both plastic and metal grips.

gottafly30s, now you can cut grass lower to the ground!! Enjoy your new setup. That's what this hobby is all about. Flying a cookie cutter heli like everyone else would be very boring to say the least.

BTW, if anyone is interested in the Gohbee 60/90 head assembly, it's not Raptor compatible because it's sized for a 10mm main shaft.

I agree.

What metal grips do you have? I have TDG rotorheads on my 90's.

I bought a bunch of oval arms a while back and broke several pieces with the "flex" method. I also recall breaking the ball link just snapping them into place (even with proper orientation). I'll include a few sets with my next order. Maybe TT has improved the plastic??

There's actually a CNC upgrade for this, but it's only available in Japan.

I too have the gohbee stinger head on my Hyper 50 v1 frame. with stock paddles, it is quicker than my v1 head with ksj paddles. the heli still feels the same as far as stability, with NO pitchiness in FFF. Which im now finding out again with my R90...

Im not running hard dampners on the stinger head, but probably should as i go along. i find it flies much better than my stock head. it is also less complicated, IMHO, than stock.

I have not flown the head...

I have bought several of the parts that are supposed to be raptor replacements and all of them were sloppy.. I my opinion sloppy parts make a sloppy helicopter.

What parts you ask.. I got frames with several issue like spacers not lining up with hole and spinning, uneven edges, holes not cut out, lg holes to far apart to used stock raptor gear ect... Links, way to small..I tried to size with a scored raptor ball in a drill and they did not losen up and stayed to tight to use. Ball on a front elevator arm were to big for raptor links which was a surprize since the links were to small. Its just not as nice as the TT stuff.

There is a guy that flys a stnger 90 who crashed it and it did not fly right until he replaced the head.. I dont like the look of the metal.

to the guy above

i don't think your not supposed to mix and match the head parts ,,just below the swashplate are the compatable,,unless it says it fits raptor too ,it probably won't fit the same,,and yes the links and ball link are slighty bigger than rator,,,you got to buy the complete head conversion..

I know this...

If you go to the site there is a section in 30/50 parts that says raptor compatible. Those are part I bought. What I am saying is if the parts I bought tale case, frames, double links ect were all qestion able on on quality The head Quality could be questionable too.

I have a rep tha flys with us and I tell him all of the issues I see with his stinger and my parts and he say... Well I taked to Dave and he is qoing to look in to it.

But since this is about the head. I dont like the metal..and some guy crashed his 90 and it would not fly right until he replaced the head.
