and version 10? I noticed that the disk I have contains version 10.... I think the adaptor is purple and yellow.... but the guy I purchased the sim from told me that it was version 9. Hmmmmmmm

I'm still trying to find a way to install this under XP.... but in the mean time, if I get this sim working at all, I will be on my son's computer *he has ME*.

And if this gets really complicated, I may buy G2! I understand it works fine under XP.
Any and all advice is welcome.

the interface for V10 is purple and yellow with the hologram sticker on it. As for running it with Xp.............. good luck cause i cant get it to do so on mine. I email tech support from csm and they said this. (copied and pasted from the email)

We are aware of the problems with Windows XP and Win 2000 and are currently trying to solve these problems. As soon as we have sorted a reliable fix this will be posted on our web site. In the meantime there is a patch program that will cure one of the problems that you can try.

Please find enclosed the information about the Win 2k patch for the sim.
Note that this patch is not a CSM product and we can not be held
responsible for any problems. However many people are using this patch
program and non have reported any problems and in most instances it has
worked but one or two people have not had success. Also have a look at our
web site
for more tech support issues if you have any problems. There is some
information about troublesome graphics card chipsets etc here.

PS. Sentinel have recently updated this and unfortunately it no longer
works. I have searched the web for the original driver and it seems it is
available, so you should still be able to get hold of it. Keep an eye on our
web site as we are currently looking into this and as soon as we find a
solution we will post it on our site. You need to search for the
RAINBOWSSD539 Driver.

driver from
http://www.rainbow.com/tech/download.html. Its the 2nd link down (about
5mb - but worth it) (*****see above*******)

and i followed this to the "T" and had absolutly no luck! So i guess its G2 time till they get a patch that will work
