Hi All,

I'm wondering what you ladies are flying? I have a couple TREX's an SE and a CDE with an SE frame, a Century 3dpro, elite fp, elite fp with a beltdrive mod and a shogun.

I'm currently flying mainly the trex's. I managed to learn hovering in all orientations, figure eights and I'm jonesing to figure out inverted flying.

Cheers,
Leslie

Hi cybergirl,

Welcome aboard!!! Congrats on the hover, not an easy feat in gusty wind.

I'm in New Hampshire, USA. It's been raining like crazy so I'm grounded. I'm hoping to get my trex's inverted this summer, if I ever get the nerve.

It's been windy here, mostly a steady wind, which I've gotten used to. I hate the gusts, I augered my trex a couple weeks ago, getting caught low by a gust. sigh, the damage was not too bad. Stripped a servo and bent a feathering shaft.

Cheers and welcome!
Leslie

Hi Naomi,

Welcome!! Wicked nice fleet I am green with envy. How long have you been flying rotary wing??

I'm hoping to master inverted flight this summer...kinda scared. I'm great on the sim(xtr) but it's easy to be brave when you can't actually break anything.

Do you still fly planks too?

Cheers,
Leslie

Hey there heli gals!!!

I started on a Blade CP but my hubby mechanic (tjride) had a TRex and let me try it one day - mistake!! I then had to have a TRex and I wanted mine blinged (a term I learned quickly) because I liked the blue color. Well, how could he refuse me! So he built me a TRex 450 with all metal bling - aint he sweet!!!! I love my candy red and blue metallic girl!!

Hi Leslie.. Thanks for your complement. I'd been start flying heli from 2001. Not that long ago. I used to fly planes before getting into heli, always wanted to get into heli , but it's always been too expensive for me then.. Now that helis are much more affordable and technology improved a great deal as compared to then, that does helped a lot. I still own a few planes

Hi kjfly, glad you are stepping into the rotary fun.

Hey all welcome aboard! Wow, this is so great to see so many women flying helis!!

OOHHH Yesterday our club had an indoor event at a the Cocoa Expo. The center is big enough for a basket ball court (full size dunno) however, I got myself off into a small corner and was hovering SIDE WAYS! Although it was only for a brief moment or two and I would get scared and swing the tail backto where I am comfortable (tail in). I was able to swing her nose back and forth and I was doing spot landings!! WOO ME

No leslie I am not taking the training wheels off just yet. Let me get in some figure eights before they come off... lol

ps Naomi nice fleet! Wow great Helis!!!

Hi Jetgirl,

Get rid of the training gear when you feel you're ready. But, they definitely won't help your flying. Landings yeah, okay. But hauling all that mass of stuff can get tiresome

Keep us posted on your progess!! Congrats on the side in!!

Cheers,
Leslie

to say the crap started by some of the guys. I am here requesting
your help by adding your input to that topic. I started flying
in 1983 and everything is still the same in 2006. I say let these
backward men know how you feel about this. I hope to read what
you have to say. Thank you!

on the throttle, and 611 gyro. Also have the hawk-pro with OS 37
servos JR DS537's all around except the tail which is a futaba 9254
and 401 gyro.And a Raptor 90SE with a 91C-spec/PS, servo futaba
9451 and 9451 on throttle,the gyro is a futaba 502 which comes
with a 9254 on the tail. And the last one is a DNHP SR-3 with a 91c-spec champion, servo Futaba 9255 and 9254 on throttle had a futaba 601 gyro but it went bad so went to a futaba 611 gyro with a 9256 on the tail. I am in this for the longhaul. Can't see myself doing
anything else as long as I continue to meet good people like you.
So this is what I fly, hope you like it.

Hello ladies!!!

I got started in heli's by watching my boyfriend trying to learn to fly his first one. He posts on this site too. I think the words that came out of my mouth were "how hard can that be?" lol.. Boy was I wrong!! He bought me a BCP for Valentine's Day to learn off of. I didn't get too learn much because it was always so darn windy here, so we sold that one and got me a CX to tinker with in the house. All fun so far!! If it's dead calm outside, I'll take it out and zip around the yard. I'll get some learning experience from this, and when he moves to a trex, I'll steal his CP
