This is really cool! My wife wanted to get a small ele bird a year ago, but after flying the sim for 5 mins, she gave up the dream. It would be great if she would try again....or would it. That would mean my heli budget would be cut in half!!! Noooooooooooooooooo.

Mark Ryder needs to give you the choice when registering to say if you want to be a "New Heliman" or "New Heliwoman".
Anyway, good luck with this section of the forum!!!

Hey Leslie,

Well kjfly finally found time to get signed up on hear. I am sure she will help you with the arrows and all.

For what it is worth guys-- It has been awesome with the wife flying heli's too. Now when I need something for my Trex, all she asks is-- Do I need that too.... Nice=====

Although she considers me (as she calls me) her hubby mechanic. I love the challenge of keeping 2 birds in the air. Although I am the one so far with the major crash under the belt. She must fly conservative--Yeah thats it!!!! Conservative

Need More Woman in the Hobby

It's great to see a woman's forum. I would really like to see more get into the hobby. Those that are, get your buddies out there and show them that they can do it too!

Hi All,

Thanks for all the positive comments you guys are great. The whole point here is to try and attract more women pilots. I'm thinking there might be some reading and might not be comfortable jumping into the mainstream forum.

Trust me the snacks at the field will improve, smirk, they have where I fly!

Cheers,
Leslie

Hey Leslie............I finally made it!!!

Hello Flippychick and Jetgirl...........

How's everyone doing? Have the ladies been getting any flying in? Me and the hubby mechanic (TJRIDE) got some flying time day before and I hope we get some fly time tomorrow...........need to practice before a fun fly in July.

Now you won't feel lonely here Leslie.

Not a pilot but a pilots wife

Hey to all you gals.......

I am not a pilot but I am a pilots wife and I am at the field every weekend and every heli event as well. I do all the photography for the guys. Which is a bonus.....close to all the action.

And yes Leslie there is no bitchin' about parts or money. Not in this household.

So you don't have to just be a pilot to get involved in this entertaining hobby.

new here

Hello,
I am Heather and I don't fly but my boyfriend does. He is currently deployed so I haven't gotten to fly yet. I am waiting for him to teach me. I think it looks like tons of fun and can't wait until he is home and we can go out together. Just wanted to introduce myself.

Hi RCHELI-WIFE,

Welcome aboard!! I checked your gallery, nice pictures, nice countryside!!

I've been flying mostly in my yard. When I was flying planks I was always at the field. The boys were great, they were all very very helpful and got me in the air.

It is fun and very social, even when not flying.

Again welcome!

Cheers,
Leslie

What kind of heli does he fly? Read lots and feel free to ask any questions. Everyone on this board (not just this forum) is extemely helpful and always will to help a beginner!

Cheers, and I hope he is safe and home soon!

Thanks for the welcome

Thank you for the welcome. If you want to thank my boyfriend for what he is doing he is on this. He is LongbowAV8R. Thank him yourself, it will mean more coming from you than me relaying the message. I know I always loved it when I was active duty and people thanked me. Check out his profile and stuff, he has pics and some of the helis he flies listed. He also has a pic of us in his gallery. Thanks again for the welcome.
Heather
