| Yes, it does appear quite painful. When she was playing with it, the worst was batting. She would come back in from an at bat in tears. We kept icing it but that only does so much. At one point, she came back in from an at bat and simply stuck her whole hand in the ice in the ice chest.
Well, we just found out that she will not have surgery...at least not yet. The doctor said that kids heal well and the tear should heal. But the wrist has to remain immobile. So, she is now in a cast from her hand to the middle of her upper arm. She has to wear that for 4 weeks. At that point they will take the cast off and check it again. If need be, they will put another one back on for at least two more weeks. |
