| Well, I finally did it. A little over a year ago, I purchased an EB from Bergen based on various threads of conversation here on runryder and other boards. I was new to gassers (all nitro previously). At the time, I had never seen a gasser in action. My primary motivation for a gasser was for use in a partime aerial photography business.
Soon after getting the kit, work went nuts and the kit sat for almost a year before I started building. It took me about two weeks to build and it was finally test flown (with the help of rbort (who I also purchased an onboard generator from)) on 5/30/06. Wow!!
The G26 has way more power and throttle than I expected. The 810mm main blades are a sight to behold. The intrepid EB Hover stability is amazing compared to my nitro stable (Raptor 30v1, 50v2, 60, (2)90's).
A big thank you to Chris, Larry and Mary Anne. Also a heartfelt thank you to all the contributors to the various EB threads on this board. Hopefully, I will be able to start contributing as I gain more experience with this ship.
