Hi All,

Been reading some threads about the Voyager E.

Couple of q's, I am running the reccomended Hacker c40, with 48-Heli ESC, which is/was the recomended power upgrade
1) people have recommended using 3s2p 4000 Mah 11.1v lipo's with this, I have 2 multiplex batteries which I would love to use in this heli, what pinion size would you recommend?

I tried this set-up once and i thought the heli was going to explode, and have since just been running it on Nicads.

Please help me.

15T should be fine, I believe that is what I am using for mine.

I run 3S and 4S setups without any problems.

What BEC are you using?

Richie.. what symptoms are you seeing when you say it looks like it is going to explode?

FYI: I am running a 3s 4400mah lipo with the 15t pinion as well.

I'll check the pinion.

The head speed seemed to be way to high, to the stage that the blades would not stay in track. The heli has always been flown on Nicads, so i guess the pinion may be larger than 15t.

I am not running a BEC, rather an external battery.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the help.

Checked the piniopn last night.... it was a 17 tooth pinion.

Damn stupid me, changed to a 15th, and it works great now.

There is some great info on the voyager over at the other furums. My HELI is great now and FREAK. The more info the better flying is!

this heli in stock form----does not like high head speed.
a 15 tooth pinion will give you around 1500 head speed with a 3S lipo.
