e-Lite Machines Corona > Another Fusion bites the dust

I've now joined the long list of folks that have had their Electro Fusion 7 motors go bad. I cleaned mine last night and then just spooled it up to see if it spun ok. Wham, it threw a winding and locked up. I cleared the broken winding but it doesn't spin anymore - I hope my esc didn't get toasted.

I can't decide what I want next, maybe brushless but I have two six cell batteries ( 3800mah,4100mah) that were about $120 for both and I hate to not use them anymore.

Suggestions ?

Just out of curiosity, howlong did the motor last? :P

So approx. 25 to 30 runs? Lets say 3,5 workhours? Thats utterly pathetic, what is LMH thinking? Dont they have dieing coronas over at theire test range?

I noticed that their Corona kits no longer have Fusion motors in them....

Then cant you just ring up those LMH guys and claim a proper motor?

I'm running the "Atomic Force" Motor (17 Turn Motor for the Corona), seems to have lots of power, but I never ran the Fusion motor!?!?

Helihobby.com has them for $27.99Sonny

Beh, Id say ditch the brushes and score a juicy Mega 16/15/3. They seem to run perty ok on 7 to 8 cells.

Any broken brushed setup is not worth replacing with another one, imho.

Do you think it would run ok with my six cell batteries (they're not wimpy at 3800 and 4100 mah's) ??
