Guys,

Take a look at the S3110 Futaba servos. 22oz of torque at .10 secs/60 degrees at 26oz.

I use the Futaba S3108's on my H2 and they center very well. Great servo! Though I think I may use all 3110's, even on the tail.

Hi Guys,

I love to fly my Ecureuil. Everybody tells me I can not fly 3D with Ecureuil (the other does not believe to the stability so much but I am quite confident - talking with guy who is knows a lot round HELIs) . I am not so skilled to try it, but does anybody who owns Ecureuil tells me if I even sometimes can fly 3D (sometimes in the future , when I'll be a real pilot) ?
The Heli seems to be quite stable, but I do not have any comparison as it is my first heli. Previously I flew with basic planes only.
Do I need any upgrade for it (stronger motor, any other improvement ????)?
Anybody helps ?
Thanks HELI CC

Take a closer look. It should have brass balls, and a metaled bottom.

I just looked at mine. It's ballraced, the top half is metal and the inner balls are brass. A very nice swash, nothing like my stock H2 swash.

U can try..... just remember to set negative pitch as well. If it's some consolation, I've seen a four bladed homebuild doing slow aerobatics on video before.... It sounded very addictive because the blades sound more distinctive ...

Hi All

I wanted to know a few things about this machine,

First of all i have to say it is great to finally see a good electric model that does not need tonnes of upgrades to get it to hover.

What i wanted to ask, is what servos are you using ? the ones onthe web site seem a little cheap, do they do the job ?

Many thanks

I also hope to be the proud owner of something different!!!

I bought my Mother-in-law a chair for xmas, but she wouldn't plug it in

The HS55's aren't a bad servo, they should do just fine. I prefer the Futaba s3108's (that I use in my H2) because I've found that they center better than the Hitecs. I haven't put my 350 together yet but I plan on using s3110's. They are new by Futaba, lighter than the 3108's and much stronger. I think a hair faster as well.

Keep in mind, if you decide to go with the futaba's, you may have to alter the frame a bit to get a proper fit.

Has anyone in the US have one of these flying yet?
Curious as to how it handles & flies. Also, will a standard heli radio work with the 3-bladed setup.
I am flying Trex's with a Futaba 7CHP,not interested in 3D.Like the looks of this kit, but have seen very little on the flight reports on this bird.
Thanks,
aircare

I do own the kit but haven't the time to piece it together yet. The kit itself looks to be nice quality. I plan to piece her together this winter. I have heard good stability reports from those who have them flying.

Your Futaba 7CHP should work just fine.

MS A Star was designed to be built and flown with HS 55 servos. I tried Futaba servos(3110) and ran into mounting problems. Nothing unsurmountable, but annoying nonetheless. Futabas can be mounted but you will run into servo arm and swash plate alignment issues. You can experiment but I am too lazy... I used HS 55 for the cyclic and HS 50 for the tail. It flies really good! More stable than any Hornet and you don't need any special tx or mixer. Set up just like any other collective pitch heli. The secret to extra stability is their special main blades. They are weighted but very flexble unlike Hornet weighted blades. Overall Ms has a winner! I just got my flying and I love it!

helimeister,

Sorry to hear the s3110's were too troublesome for you. They really are a good servo with consistent centering characterisics. I did post that some tinkering would be needed for a proper fit.

I'm glad to hear you have your bird flying! Send some pictures when you can.
