The Race is on????

Darn,

Now we have to see who gets their machine completed first!!!

I am also working on my speed machine. Fuse is about half done, mechanics are about 25% complete, and the paper work is not even started yet!!!!

Anyhow, DF engines make a bunch of hp at higher RPMS. I don't know s$*t about OPS engines.

My very best luck has been with modified OS 61s using the performance specialities piston liners.

I usually only run about 21,000 in my OS engines for drag racing with a 10.5:1 gear ratio. Not real sure how well they will hold up under a full power run for over 10 seconds. Drags usually only last about 4 secs.

I may speed it up a little, but to use currently available gear sets, about 10.5:1 is what I can get easily.

What kind of blades are you going to be using??

oh display-all...duh

the blades are going to be 550mm w/ 10:1 a/r & 110 gr with a low center mass (18" from m/r shaft) m/r diameter of 53". I'm running 10:1 gearing for an engine thats happy around 24-25k. the engine is going to have to be a ducted fan or worse yet, custom made. It will be atleast two years to completion/ bugs tested....so you'll probably get there first i'll post the design sketches and anything else up here as soon as I get the scanner up.
