I read that the 401 was recalled a while back and that the ones from Europe were the prob. The 401 from Helihut is from the far east, anybody using a 401 from Helihut and if so how are you doing with it so far?

Wait a minute...

Heliman41, I thought you was a hardcore telebee gyro man and Century man....

What is going on up there? You buying Raptors and gy401s has me wondering!

I got 2 401s and couldn't be happier.

Say, did you notice 'he's' up to his tricks again?

Go ahead and get the 401, spend some of that loot.

Yea, my plumbers pile of looty booty is sooooooo hi that Im hitting my head trying to crawl over it so I decided to spend a lil of it to help the economy and all....................plus I need room for more helis and my head! Funny, I thought you were a hard core nexsuz man? Actually my Telebee is running perfect as long as I re-trim it at every first flight out? Temp thing I guess..... Im actually considering a 601 over a 401 its only $140 more for a LOT more gyro and servo. I probably wouldnt know how to act with a real honest to goodness hi end gyro/servo. Might even increase my learning curve? One thing for sure," we may never know what we want, but we sure know what we dont want"!

Its funny that you mentioned it, but at the moment I'm considering purchasing a gyro for my Fury within the next 48 hours. So, the 601 gyro is only about $140 more than the 401 and my question is: Is it a lot more gyro for the money or just a little bit better for the money? I have a friend who keeps disuading me from it telling me the 601 is a waste of money and the 401 works just fine. Then again, he doesn't do any backwards flight. I'd say about every time I fly, about half of it has backwards flight. So would I benefit from it in my Fury and notice a difference? Plus I also heard about the longevity of the servo for the 601 last a lot longer than the 401. Take Care.

The reason I am leaning twards the 601 is because it has a servo with a faster speed slightly and its twice the torque at 51 oz verses 27oz with the 401 combo, also the 601 has 4 times the frame rate over the 401 which is just plain better no matter what especially in backwards flight. I realize that 1 has to be awfully good to really use the 601 to its full capacity so that wasnt really the issue to me in the first place I mean guys buy $2000 helis all the time and you dont need that either to do 3D so its really just a cash call in the end. My XL 60 has a tight tail slider and 27 oz isnt much for it, Id feel a whole lot better with 51oz plus its a tiny bit faster, and buying the servo seperately wont save all that much either so might as well just get the 601 package anyway, I havent decided yet but it would be nice, and I dont always follow the herd for 1 reason or another. Also if I do get it then it will be my last super gyro for a long time the servo well that can go at any time if I can get an even faster 1 later. My.02 Oldheliman41

401

The 401 will use a regular servo and digital. The 601 will only use the one designed for it. How about them apples????

That may be true but lets face it most of us dont have super tail servos just laying around thats a specialty servo purchase when its made so not a big concern, and most are $100 or over anyway no matter what brand. I have a lot of specialty servos but none for the tail so it must come with the gyro anyway, servos for other functions do collect over time I will admit tho. After watching the difference between 2 helis ,1 with a digital and 1 with an analog coreless, my mind was made up in a nano sec! Im going digital for good on the tail reguardless what gyro. My.02
