I switched from idle 1 to idle 2 The heli came toward me and I gave it more pitch. then I lost orientation and the helicopter came directly over head of me. I tried everything but I was overcorrecting and the heli ended up upside down. The heli struck the ground and the blades broke into pieces. One of the pieces evidently hit me in the left eye, causing it to bleed profusely. A few companions came to my aid and took me to the emergency room, looked after me for more than one hour,( I lost track of the time). I can't open the eye and only can see a little light. The Doctors say the blow might be the cause of the lost vision as the damage is not all that severe. They say the I should get better in a short time. This is a hobby that stops being enjoyable when this happens I don't know if I will just trash it or what. I had a lot of respect for the machine before bu now I think I might be afraid not of flying it but of the damage than can occur.
Well I hope that everyone gets some use out of this post
