Now I'm all set to 3D the real thing.

I got a chance to video one of these bad boys doing what I think was detasseling corn. He was flying very low over the corn with the skids dragging in the tops. I'll post video when I get a chance. Not my top priority right now though.

A couple of years ago, at our fun fly, I got an aerobatic ride in one of these fine ships. We did stall turns, backwards down the runway, piro on the deck down the runway, turn and burn over a lake with the rotor only scant feet from the water, and an almost full down auto. Best $10 I've ever spent.

Heli rides..

Mal, that sounds like fun.. never in my life i'd been on a heli yet.. Someday I might get lucky to hitch a ride on a real one.

A $10 ride in a R22 was a real bargin...
We think our hobby is expensive, The cost of just a .30 min ride is more that we would want to pay for our birds.

Hey Andy..

I have a condo in Pompano beach and I always wonder why so many Robinsons run up and down the beach.They seem to be coming from your way!I'm on the 18th floor (penthouse) and when they fly by they are at the same level as me.I will be down there for thanks giving and will try to get some pictures as they fly by.Are these birds from the school?

R22 Photo

I used to fly a R22 a lot a few years ago when my father and a guy from South Carolina owned one together. Never had so much fun in my life. I have about 200 hours un-logged time in the heli as the guy who taught me to fly it was not certified. I have been looking up here in Michigan for a heli school so I can get certified, but have not had much luck. If anyone can help with any info I would appreciate it.

In my gallery is a picture of the heli I flew when we were up in Alaska with it.

The photo was taken on the Alaskan peninsula on our way to Kodiak isalnd as part of an 11 hour exploration trip that we went on and we had stoped to use the outdoor facilities...

Yep they are usually ours, but sometimes the helis from Volar helicopters and Heliflight (Ft Lauderdale EXEC) go up and down the beach, its probably a 50/50 split in it. The colors of ours are two orange (bright orange ) one silver/blue, one white, and one yellow/red/orange/white. Obviously the two plain orange ones are easiest to see and they wouldn't be far off your height, usually going down the beach we stay at about 300ft, if you go below 200ft you drop off PBI and all the other airports RADAR's

All I can say is thanks for trying again Naomi.
I currently have WMV 7 for Mac. & still just get text when I try to download it but have downloaded many files on Windows ( damn I hate that guy ) media format.
Still, I really did enjoy the real thing & only $Aus250.00 inc. 30 minute pre fight & 1 hour in the air.
The memories will last a long time.
