yeah by far the best 50 in my opinion on the Market...I have had 2 Rappy 50's and a Sceadu 50 and the Hirobo was superb...but the Knight out flies it in smoothness by far!

The Knight50 is a wonderful machine. I am right now trying to solve a high frequency vertical vibe in the tail. Still have to change out the tail rotor shaft, to see. Also wondering where a high pitched whine is coming from, in the main gear area, during spool up. Might be the one way bearing, or other bearings in the area.
Love the way it flies, though.
Wish I could spend more time flying it. Damn job, always getting in the way.

Going broke and OK with it.

chewbacchi,

Before you change the tail rotor shaft, try to reduce the belt tention and see if the high frequency vertical vibe in the tail solve or reduce.

I'm finishing up the full carbon version and here's some of my comments. Excellent quality and value. Good design. On the negative side, the links are way to tight. I know they'll loosen up over time but they are hard on the servos in the beginning. Good techical drawings on the manual but lacking in detail for the setup. Not a problem for a season builder but a nightmare for the not so experienced or newbie. Some binding issue in the Forward and aft cyclic controls. This required the removal of a crossmember forward of the A arm and use of a low profile button head screw to secure the canopy post. The blade holders are design to take 14 mm blades and no spacers were provided to accomodate other size blades (600MM are either 10 or 12MM root). This machine is coming of China and like everthing that's showing up on the market from there, a very good value for the Money. I suspect these guys make the parts for some of the high end Japanese machines and I'm thinking that they're probably worrying right now.

Yes the machine does come from China but they are marketed by Kompass of Hong Kong. All the cnc parts are machined and manucaftured by Compass.

Here are the photos of our cap design and made by my team.

Parts availability in Malaysia

Hi larren,

I'm from Singapore. Any LHS in Malaysia carry the Knight 50?
Are the parts widely available and how do they price as compare to Raptor?

just drop by and a few notes

thanks for buy the knight, Flipflyer, and thanks for the notes. yes, manual is not good for beginner. i am making the new one, hopefully in 2 weeks or so it will be on my website. and i think the 'binding problem' is a setup problem too. at 0 pitch, all 3 arms (crank and 2 L arm) should be flat, so is the swash plate. then there should be enough room for any manuover. if it is not please let me know, i need to know every small problem of knight and make it better. the link is tight, it is better be tight than loose, after 4~5 flight, it is good. most of the blades (SAB, NHP, Fun-Key etc) has their own spacer with the blades, so there is no need to give extra spacer with the heli, and it is not practical either, different blade are different thickness.
Larren, the hat looks very nice, i am wondering if i can get one for myself.

Good to see you active in the RR forum Compass, shows good effort in support for a great model. I emailed Compass earlier last week about the phASING OF THE PINS AND LINKAGE PROBLEMS WITH THE LACK OF INFO IN THE MANUAL. Including several other questions about the info or lack of in the manual...within two days I got a big email explaining the questions I had as well as some i did not consider, He did the same months ago when I had glitching problems, he emailed me back several times to sugguest options to rid myself of the problems...once again good support! I have had several types of helis and still do one being a Knight 50, and I would reccomend one to anyone intrested in buying a 50 size....

We have a team flying the Knight 50 here. The team is lead by Mr. Yap. He is the sole distributor in my country and has full range of spares available.

The hat/cap is design by one of the team member to promote the Knight 50.
