I found 6" linear calipers at the Dollar Store. Yes, they cost a whole dollar. Yes, they are plastic. Yes, they have standard and metric marks. Does inside and outside, too.

Yeah, I know, they aren't as cool or accurate as dial calipers. Then again, I got to burn more fuel than spend the dough on another tool.

Kevin.. you can also find a good roll of double sided tape in dollar store for a buck... that's what i use for mounting my gyro.. very strong.. only one ol' mighty buck!.. i stocked up a few rolls

Yes, Naomi, there's all sorts of stuff in there. I found zip ties, too. Sounds like I need to go shopping at your dollar store in Canada, so I can get more for my U.S. dollar.
