| I read through the info that Jbeech posted, thank you for all of that, I am very intrigued by the developements of early helicopters. I really like the Cheyenne (I may just have to build one if these fuses become available ) I am just wondering about the other heli those articles talked about, the lockheed model 286. it looks pretty sweet and I am facinated by the gyro stabilizer they were testing. According to those articles and other sources, the model 286 had superior stability as well as manueverablity, I wonder if their stabilizer gyro would work on a model four bladed head (of course it would probably be easier to just build a basic 4 blade head and use a V-stabi or helitronics mixer) anyway I thnk the model 286 would make a killer model because the full size was doing loops and rolls back in the 60s(?) and it has a sleek look with retractable skids, not to mention that to be truly scale, the Cheyenne needs to have a tail mounted propeller for thrust anyway. (that would be cool, but doesn't seem very practical)
anyway thats my ramble for the day, thanks jbeech for posting that cool info
